The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has been reviewing a plan to redevelop about 15 km of Ferozepur Road on both sides, from the Ring Road to Canal Bank Road. The plan is described as proposed work, with a pilot project under way, so treat it as a direction and check what is funded and built before you pay a premium for a shop or plot along the road.
What the LDA Plans
Zameen.com reported that LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed briefed a meeting on the redevelopment of Ferozepur Road. The project covers about 15 km on both sides of the road, from the Ring Road to Canal Bank Road. Proposed works include improving building facades and developing pedestrian pathways and parking spaces. The meeting also heard updates on a pilot project along Ferozepur Road and on work at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Underpass. Bloom Pakistan reported that the LDA restarted work on underpasses along Canal Bank Road nearly three years after spending about Rs300 million on their renovation.
Other Lahore Road Work Reported in October
APP reported on 17 October that LDA Director General Tahir Farooq examined repair and rehabilitation work on Jail Road and Ayesha Siddiqua Road and reviewed restoration work on Canal Bank Road. He also visited the underground Nasir Bagh parking plaza, which officials said had reached 84 percent completion. Business Recorder reported in February 2026 that the Punjab government expected to complete five large projects by the end of the year, including Nasir Bagh by October.
Why It Matters to Buyers
Facade and parking rules can change what a commercial owner may build or must pay for, so ask whether a shop or plaza on the road falls inside the redevelopment stretch. Pine Avenue joins Ferozepur Road, according to our Pine Avenue guide, so ask whether the junction you will use is part of the plan. Construction can also mean months of noise, dust and diverted traffic.
Checks Before You Buy Along Ferozepur Road
Ask the LDA for the approved scope, the funding and the schedule for the segment you care about. Ask whether the pilot project has finished and what it changed. Ask for the commercial-use approval and fee receipts for any commercial unit, as explained in our guide to the commercialisation fee in Lahore. Ask for recent completed transfers, not asking prices.
